Wear your nationalism

Happy Canada Day!! I'm somewhat of a nationalist. I think it's because of my past athletic endeavors and that "go team" mentality that's sort of bred into you in that environment. When I discovered the Canadiana collection from Buttercup Days' I knew I had to wear my nationalism on my sleeve, so to speak.

These really cute products are the work of local jewelry designer, Clare Raman. She takes vintage 70s enamel and brass Canadiana charms and resets them in new settings. They could become brooches, necklaces or even bracelets. I purchased a Mountie brooch at the Kit 'n Kaboodle Sale. I love the kitchy tourist flavour the brooch has.

Buttercup Days can be found online at Madeyoulook.ca and in the retail store at 1338 Queen St. West. Clare creates some other amazing jewelry that I haven't seen online, so for in person shopping, Buttercup Days is a fixture at the One of a Kind Show and the Clothing Show.
