Sharing the Stage
The National Ballet will present five outdoor performances on the Concert Stage, August 16 – 20, 2022. Hope Muir, Joan and Jerry Lozinski Artistic Director, and Robert Binet, Curator and Producer, CreativAction and Special Initiatives, have curated two mixed programmes featuring the National Ballet and four guest companies. The programme features excerpts from the sensational Chroma by Wayne McGregor, Christopher Wheeldon’s sublime After the Rain, a pas de deux from Swan Lake, directed and staged by Karen Kain, new CreativAction Micro-Commissions from Natasha Powell and Ethan Colangelo as well as new works from guest companies Holla Jazz, Rock Bottom Movement, Samantha Sutherland and Tanveer Alam. Live music will be performed by The National Ballet of Canada Orchestra and guest musicians.
The performances are free and general admission. Arrive early to secure a spot, first come, first served.
If you require accessible seating, a limited number of seats can be reserved in advance. Pre-booking is available as of August 9. Information on how to reserve accessible seating will be available at a later date.
