Fall for Dance North
Fall for Dance North (FFDN) proudly presents its momentous fifth anniversary edition, October 2–6, 2019 at MERIDIAN HALL and Ryerson Theatre in partnership with the Ryerson School of Performance. The 2019 festival will showcase a phenomenal range of expression including a special focus on international Indigenous artists at Ryerson Theatre, three FFDN commissions, lots of live music, and FREE programming at Union Station’s newly restored, historic West Wing. Audiences will experience the powerful style of Brazil’s Grupo Corpo, the remarkably gifted Indian classical solo artist Shantala Shivalingappa, the North American debut of The New Zealand Dance Company, the exquisite artists from The National Ballet of Canada, and much more. Toronto’s own emerging choreographic talents Caroline ‘Lady C’ Fraser and Cody Berry will unveil world premieres, alongside the premiere of FFDN artist-in-residence Anne Plamondon’s FIDDLE EMBRACE.
