Join us with our co-host Revue Cinema for the screening of Older, Stronger, Wiser (1989) and Black Mother, Black Daughter (1989) directed by Claire Prieto, which capture unique stories of Black women living in the 1980s and 1990s. We will host a panel discussion featuring June Givanni, a pioneering international film curator, Nadine Marsh Edwards, film producer based in UK, and Sharon Lewis, a Canadian film producer and director. During this interactive meeting of the minds moderated by Glace Lawrence and hosted by Pat Dillon Moore, they will speak to the inherent difficulties, challenges and triumphs of creating a tangible and intangible presence of Black women in films and television.
