Toronto is about to be hit with another huge snow and ice storm
Is it still February? After a pretty calm weekend, it almost seemed kind of peaceful. However, it turns out Mother Nature was just taking some time off.
This week will ramp up the winter weather again as a freezing rain and ice storm is set to rip through the city.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement ahead of a crazy storm that's expected to begin tomorrow morning.
The storm, born of an air mass from Colorado, will bring 15 to 20 cm of snow, which might mix with ice pellets as it falls from the sky.
There will also be winds up to 90 km/h and potentially freezing rain, just to make sure you really have a hard time.
This'll probably mess up your commute and be pretty painful on the skin (and morale), so bundle up and give yourself some extra time.
As for today, it shouldn't be too bad. A bit of snow will fall this morning before clearing up, and the temperature should drop to about -4 C this evening.
