Blue Jays win ALDS

Blue Jays sweep Texas Rangers to win ALDS

The Toronto Blue Jays have swept the Texas Rangers to win the ALDS for a second year in a row. How sweet a victory this was given the deep bad blood these teams developed after last year's playoff confrontation. The game went into extra innings, with the Jays eventually completing the sweep in the 10th.

What a nail biter this was. The Jays came out strong early before Texas took a 6-5 lead. The home team would tie it on a wild pitch, and then the game settled into a stalemate before an amazing bit of base running from Josh Donaldson turned what looked like a double play into the winning run.

In a glorious bit of schadenfreude, it was a bad throw by Rougned Odor to first that kept the play alive and allowed Donaldson to play the hero. Bring on the ALCS!

Here's how Jays fans frantically followed the game on Twitter.
