Toronto hosting World Cup short track speed skating

Toronto is hosting an international short track speed skating competition for the first time ever this week. So if you want to cheer on some of Canada's best short track skaters, head to the MasterCard Centre in Etobicoke from November 6 to 8.

This is the second International Skating Union (ISU) World Cup short track event of the season - Montreal hosted the first one over the Halloween weekend.

According to CBC Sports, numerous Canadian Olympic medallists will be competing alongside Toronto-based athletes Patrick Duffy and William Preudhomme. Both men skated for Canada at World Cup events last year.

Tickets for this weekend's competition are currently on sale and run from $15 to $45.
