Live Action Scotland Yard, Next Weekend!

Live Action Scotland Yard(L.A.S.Y.) is preparing to sweep T.O. -- and the TTC transit system for that matter -- so get in the game or simply get out of the way.

L.A.S.Y., essentially a more complex incarnation of hide-and-seek, goes a little something like this: Mr X, in a yellow t-shirt hops around the TTC system while detectives in red-shirts try and track him down. Their only real hope are clues provided them by L.A.S.Y. dispatchers. Of course, there are a few rules and a dreaded time limit.

Now, this may smell like PacManhattan, the game that's all the rage in New York City, but as creator, Joel F points out, "Maybe, but my game uses streetcars!"

Not to mention the fact that you can play this one without the ridiculous (albeit cute) PacMan costumes. Score.

All you really need to participate is 1) a cell phone with one heck of a plan (ie. Unlimited Weekends), 2) a TTC pass (day-pass will do) and 3) Sunscreen for those tender skin cells.

If you're ready to go, the game takes place next Saturday, July 23rd. For all the details (from rules to where to meet your fellow gamers) visit Joel F's, Culture Hole blog.
