H&M's new Rewear service in Canada allows you to buy and sell your secondhand clothes

H&M Canada now offers a service that gives your old favourite garments in the closet a second lease on life.

Launched in September, H&M Rewear is a one-stop resell destination where you can easily buy and sell any piece of previously-owned clothing from any brand, not just H&M.hm rewear

H&M Rewear launched on Sept. 7 and lets you buy and sell clothes from any brand.

This comes as a second way to recycle clothes through the clothing company, with garment collecting already available in stores, and lets you be even more active in the process of passing your old styles to another wearer.

Whether you want to find a new home for your own items or shop the platform for something to buy, it's simple and straightforward to use and comes with the added benefit of extending the lifespan of clothes for a more sustainable future.

Selling your clothes is easy with recommendations to help determine the best price for your items and photo retouching on all listings. Searching H&M products directly to access photos and descriptions is also possible.

The new H&M service allows buyers and sellers to meet up in person to avoid delivery costs and wait times.

Sellers are offered two ways to receive payment for items sold between direct deposit or an H&M gift card with an added 20 per cent value that can be redeemed both online or at any H&M store location.

Holiday shoppers also won't have to worry about purchases arriving on time with the new meet-up option launching today.

Just agree on a time and location with the seller to avoid shipping fees and long wait times, and to further reduce your carbon footprint.
