Tragically Hip concert tickets sell out in minutes, again
Tickets to The Tragically Hip's Man Machine Poem tour went on sale at 10 a.m. this morning. And like at the pre-sale earlier this week, they sold out in mere minute. Fans and anxious page-refreshers, however, noticed that re-sale sites such as StubHub had numerous tickets in stock (albeit for exorbitant prices).
The Hip are playing three shows at the ACC on August 10, 12 and 14.
Many are frustrated by this seemingly convoluted ticketing process and some are even petitioning the attorney general to look into it.
Until that happens, Toronto-area fans are taking to social media to vent. Many are especially miffed proceeds from this tour are supposed to go to the Sunnybrook Foundation.
No, @Ticketmaster, I'm not a robot... Kinda wish I was though, maybe then I'd get a ticket! #TragicallyHip

What's worse, lining up overnight for tickets, calling & getting constant busy signal, or trying buy #TragicallyHip tickets online? #sameold

Taking Tragically Hip tickets, where proceeds were supposed to go to a charity, and reselling them as scalpers is just plain scuzzy.

I'm awesome at identifying storefronts and bodies of water. Less awesome at securing 2 #TragicallyHip tix. You're terrible #ticketmaster

Did anyone in the GTA actually get tickets to one of the #TragicallyHip shows from #TicketMaster? because 1000s of tix are on StubHub. #Foul

Will @JustinTrudeau be addressing the @TicketmasterCA scam soon? Seems relevant enough! #TragicallyHip
