So You Wanna Be a Rock 'n Roll Star?

If you missed Air Guitar Nation when it debuted at Hot Docs earlier this year, you don't wanna miss tonight's show, where the best rock superhero wannabes battle it out for Air Guitar supremacy. Air Guitar Canada holds their Canadian Finals tonight at Lee's Palace (529 Bloor St. W.)

Last April I caught the regional finals and was awestruck by the moxie and talent of the performers. Witness self-proclaimed rock gods with names such as Prince Schmidtlad and Glen Airy Glen Rocks strut their stuff to classic tunes by AC/DC, Van Halen, Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.

The winner will represent Canada at the International Air Guitar Finals in Oulu, Finland in September. Where else would they covet such a title?

Think you've got what it takes to represent Canada? Prepare to unleash the inner Bryan Adams, Neil Young or Alanis in you. There's still a few spots open on tonight's lineup for walk-ins. Your fans await you.
