Menswear brand gives TFC merch a new look

As sweatpants have bled over into the real-deal fashion world (hallelujah), so too has the sports world cleaned up its act. (Did you know that NBA players have a business-casual dress code? And aren't allowed to wear sunglasses indoors?) Toronto FC, ready to create a "world-class" image for the club, is following suit - pun completely intended. (This summer, when it came time to order their club suits, the team turned to tony custom tailor Garrison Bespoke for sharp three-piece grey suits with a subtle red check.)

Now, it looks like the fans in the stands can get a snazzy new makeover, too. Montreal fashion brand Frank & Oak, set to make a permanent move into Toronto this November with a new location, has released a collaboration with TFC that translates the team's red-and-grey kit into sophisticated, heritage-influenced sportswear pieces. The eight-item collection ranges from $38 for a T-shirt or scarf to $345 for a wool varsity jacket.

If you want to check it out in person, Frank & Oak are hosting a "soccer-inspired" pop-up from October 15 to 25 at 567 Queen St. West; the collection will also be available at the team's BMO Field shop and online.
