NEWS

Erin Mills Town Centre is slated to undergo a $100 million renovation. Though the mall won't increase in square footage like Yorkdale's second expansion, they'll be receiving a facelift including new windows, skylights, an infinity pool, and the world's largest glass sphere (90 feet in diameter). Construction begins this summer and is scheduled to finish in the fall of 2014.

EVENTS/PARTIES

MIDNIGHT MRKT is finally back and ready for action for its fourth bi-monthly round. If you haven't been, it's essentially the classic eclectic market, but in night-time party style. This Friday (July 19), shop from 8 pm to midnight on the 2nd floor of 461 King Street West with Wild Moon, Two Birds Apparel, Coven, and more -- and then stay a little longer to dance to DJs Lucie Tic, Orly, Kid MK, and Johnny Hockin. Entrance is $5 at the doors.

Bridge + Bardot (1138 Dundas St W) is turning one this Friday (July 19), and there's no better way to celebrate a first anniversary than a party dazzled with champagne and cupcakes. Pop by from 6 pm until 10 pm to peruse their handpicked vintage garments and locally designed accessories with sweet tunes and a drink in hand.

Fame Kills, a new Toronto-based clothing brand, is officially launching this Saturday (July 20) with a fashion show and party "not like any you've ever seen before... seriously." Catch their volcanic bead bracelets and hand-drawn graphic tees featuring the famous dead at Creatures Creating (822 Dundas St W) from 8:30 pm until the wee hours of the morning. Cover is $5, but there'll be giveaways, catering by Bite Me Bakery, and drinks for $3 all night long.

SALES

The Sample Sale Guys are back at it again, coming to Toronto (read: Richmond Hill) for yet another massive designer sale this weekend (July 18 - 21). Get men's and women's clothing - including Nudies and Marc Jacobs - for up to 80% off at The Sheraton Hotel (600 Hwy 7 E).
