Best of Toronto Fashion Week

The Top 10 looks from Toronto Fashion Week

Toronto Fashion Week and its unofficial sidekick, Rogue Fashion Week, have wrapped, much to the delight of those who like personal space and eating solids (a record two designers dared to give guests chocolate this year). Here are my picks for the top ten looks from the shows.

Greta Constantine

Greta Constantine goes green with this form-fitted dress, complete with a wide v-neckline and jutted shoulders to match the model's collarbone.

Chloe Comme Parris

Chloe Comme Parris' textured skinny black trousers scream bad-assery with exposed zippers and a brassy belt buckle.

Joeffer Caoc

Joeffer Caoc (or more likely his stylist) goes down in history as the first person to make me equate sequins with sophistication, instead of some girl puking into a sewer outside Tryst. He balances flashy and classic with this fitted tweed blazer in a plethora of autumnal colours.

Caitlin Power

Caitlin Power's sheer blouse has strategic panels, lime green piping, and a metallic closure that matches the model's steel-toed stilettos for a Cowgirls & Aliens look.

Pink Tartan

Pink Tartan's emerald-green pantsuit makes the grade with this cinched waist and peplum.

Rad Hourani

Rad Hourani defies the rules of Canadiana to create something both militaristic and able to be taken seriously. This unisex coat hits the mark with its layered leather collar and sleeves to match.

Joeffer Caoc

Joeffer Caoc's mustard-yellow coat stands out from the crowd with its unique texture and wide-flared collar. He adds a measured dose of edge with the studded black leather belt.

Travis Taddeo

Travis Taddeo's orange-red leather and fur motorcycle jacket shows urban style deserves a better rap than Urban Outfitters.

Sid Neigum

Sid Neigum's signature asymmetrical black folds and drapes shine against this pebbled leather canvas.

Lucian Matis

Lucian Matis' web of lace, tulle, and lavender makes for an elegant gown worthy of a slightly colour-progressive Morticia.
