Have you ever needed the perfect evening bag to go with your LBD? Or a conservative hat for church with grandma? How about a pair of pineapple shaped patio sunglasses? Ladies, I've found the answer to all your accessory needs: SKG Design.
The cute pink store is a small space on Roncesvalles with a big personality. Walking through the door, I was greeted with genuine warmth by owner Stephanie. She is not at all pushy but rather enthusiastic about her shop. And that certainly rubs off on her customers.
There is a lot to be happy about here. Jewellery from several Canadian designers is on display. However, Stephanie herself designs the majority of the pieces. Hats imported from all over the world hang throughout. I fell in love with a wide brimmed straw number with black stripes and a cute ribbon ($50). There were also blue satin toppers and ivory veiled downbrims (in the $100 range) perfect for that formal summer wedding.
Then there were the purses, the glorious purses! An antique style frame bag with a metal clasp adorned by white, ivory and beige sequins would be perfect for day or night (and was a steal at $50). A similar bag in black was sleek but still functional. I also found a small needlepoint purse and a flashy gold evening pouch, something to go with every look.
Stephanie stocks her store carefully and with love. She truly has something for every occasion and in every price range. Plus, gift wrapping is free!
