Lucky Charm

Lucky Charm was opened by three sisters who share a passion for all things vintage.

The spacious single-floor store overlooks the vibrant fashion district of Toronto, and since opening its doors, Lucky Charm has quickly become a staple thrift store on Queen Street West.

lucky charm torontoBorn out of the combined passions of the three sisters who have long been avid thrifters and vintage aficionados, the store's journey began when they stumbled upon the perfect location.

Recognizing the immense potential of the space, the sisters seized the opportunity to curate a thrift store that would capture the hearts of Toronto's eclectic and sustainability-conscious community.

"My two sisters and I opened the store together after being long-time thrifters and vintage lovers. We saw the space open up and thought what a great opportunity," Kerry, one of the co-founders of Lucky Charm, told blogTO.

lucky charm toronto"We couldn't ask for a better location, with Queen Street historically being a vintage hotspot and the new push for sustainability among the younger crowds," said Kerry.

Most of the pieces picked by the sisters are from the U.S., with many also coming from the UK and Italy. As soon as you walk in through the doors, you can't help but appreciate how well-organized the store is.

At Lucky Charm, thrifters don't have to dig around piles of clothes tangled together in unorganized messes, unlike at other vintage shops. Instead, the clothing is sectioned off by category, colour-coordinated, and neatly hung.

lucky charm torontoTo make things even better, the wide price range ensures there's something available for all shoppers' budgets, with the idea being for people to walk through the store, get inspired by the unique pieces, and come out with a whole new outfit.

From denim mini skirts to sweatshirts and cowboy boots, there are very few items missing from Lucky Charm's repertoire.

lucky charm torontoAs you enter the store, you’ll come across railings full of men's t-shirts ($10-$40). If you're lucky, you might even score a sick piece like a vintage Harley Davidson shirt.

lucky charm torontoLooking for a cute mini denim skirt? Lucky Charm has a huge selection of them, and the prices are pretty affordable, ranging from $35 to $55.

Cowboy boots have been super in lately, and if you're on the hunt for a pair, head to Lucky Charm. You might find a pair for as little as $50!

If you're in the mood to splurge, you can head over to their jacket and windbreaker collection, where you can find the perfect pieces to complete your cold weather ensemble.

lucky charm torontoIf you head to the back of the store, you'll find their impressive selection of bottoms, including jeans, corduroys, pants, skirts, and shorts ($25-$105).

lucky charm torontoOther items you can find here include baggy sweatshirts ($30-$85), bags ($20-$35), and slip dresses ($15-$90).

As Lucky Charm continues to evolve, exciting developments are on the horizon. The sisters have been hard at work crafting an online shopping experience catering to those seeking premium vintage pieces.
