Why Should I Care? presents: Mayoral Platform Discussion
Why Should I Care? is an event series that provides a forum for discussing difficult political issues in a safe and non-partisan environment. For the upcoming civic election, we have heard a lot of rhetoric around personality rather than discussion on public policy. At WSIC our goal is to encourage a broader discussion on public policy. To this end, WSIC has invited two mayoral candidates, David Soknacki and Ari Goldkind, to speak and discuss the merits of their platforms. The candidates will be open to discuss topics such as road tolls, municipal term limits, transit, police budgets, taxation, parks and recreation and anything you think Toronto’s next mayor should focus on. The evening will begin with each guest sharing some thoughts, followed by a Q&A; and discussion. It's sure to be a lively and informative event!
Admission is free.
