My Internship in Canada FREE Screening
Join Regent Park Film Festival and Samara Canada on April 20th in celebration of National Canadian Film Day. Now in its third year, this national event aims to spark discussions about Canadian identity and culture. What better way to fuel the conversation than through a fun and satirical look at our political system and leaders?
Told from the perspective of an independent Member of Parliament and his young Haitian protégé, My Internship in Canada (Guibord s'en va-t-en guerre) is a lighthearted story about coming to Canada and figuring out how our political process works. The film is in French with English subtitles.
Following the screening, we’ll bring together a panel of political and media figures (to be announced) to explore some of the uniquely Canadian issues and experiences portrayed in the film, moderated by Buzzfeed Canada’s Elamin Abdelmahmoud.
Doors open at 6:00 PM and the movie begins at 6:30 PM. Admission is free.
