Korean Harvest Festival - "Hangawi"

Korean Harvest Festival, also known as Hangawi, is one of the biggest and vibrant festivals in the Korean culture. It is equivalent to the Thanksgiving of its Western counterparts.

Toronto – known for its multicultural diversity – has held Hangawi annually at the Mel Lastman Square with increasing attendance each year as Korean food and K-Pop has enchanted the globe. Each year the festival has been organized by various professionals volunteering at KCBA (Korean Canadian Business Association of North Toronto) and sponsored by numerous big companies and developers such as Hyundai, Plazacorp, Sun Life Financial, Korean Air, Samsung, Century 21 New Concept Ltd. etc.

There will be performers for Korean music – both new (Infamous K-Pop such as Gangnam Style) and traditional, Dance/Singing competitions, Traditional Fashion Show, and many vendors selling various types of food, drinks, alcohol, accessories and such.

The highlight of 2014 Festival will be the appearance of Korean celebrities – well known singers invited from Korea, comedian, bands from all over Ontario famous in their own right. It is expected to be non-stop entertainment. Come stop by for some amazing food, drinks and entertainment – it will be the best Hangawi by far and a weekend to remember.
