The inaugural Body Percussion Festival will take place March 28th to 30th, 2014, at Harbourfront Centre, as part of the 2013/14 NextSteps series. The first of its kind in Canada, the festival will feature performances and workshops in dance, voice and movement arts that create music and rhythm through the body. Step, clog, tap, gigue, gumboot, hambone, flamenco, kathak, beatbox, hocket and Carnatic vocal music are all represented. Tickets are $30.50; $25 for seniors; $15 students; $7.50 for one child accompanied by an adult and $5 for two or more children accompanied by an adult.
