Sketch Comedy Class with Brian Crosby
Our Sketch Comedy Program has a strong focus on writing, requiring no previous improv experience. The program is designed to be open and accessible to people interested in writing comedy with no interest in performing.
The initiation of the Sketch Comedy program comes with the development of a new ITC sketch-team initiative. We will start to form new sketch teams in the coming months.
Our writing room provides a structured environment where you can learn the craft of sketch comedy writing, develop your ideas in a constructive and critical environment, and produce work to help build your portfolio.
SKETCH 101 - Introduction to Sketch Comedy

---------------------------------------------------------
Start Date: Sept. 20 @ 12pm (course is 8 weeks)
This course teaches how to write sketch comedy the ITC way. Students will learn how to develop premises, 'game of the scene,' and write in a variety of styles.
No previous sketch experience is necessary. Students will be required to write sketches on their own time during the week and bring them to class. You must have the ability to print your sketches and bring copies for the class on a weekly basis.
The class strives to simulate a writer's room environment, allowing students to workshop their material. By the end of the class, each student will have a portfolio of work.
No previous sketch writing or improv experience is needed.
