Babylon Telecom Presents Social Work
ABSTRACT: [ Babylon Telecom and special guest DJ Rob Nice will perform at the second edition of Social Work, an eclectic night of socially conscious music. The show will be hosted at Toronto's Lot 16 on Friday, 8 August 2008. The performance will begin at 10:00 PM, and there will be no cover charge. ]
CONTENT: [ Social Work is back!! Babylon Telecom returns to Lot 16 in August for another night of music with a message - and we want you to be there to receive it!!
Following the staggeringly-not-bad-for-a-long-weekend success of our debut party, we are delighted and excited to push this amazing night to brand new heights!! Come on down and experience a great night of socially conscious music, recorded by an eclectic range of artists and presented in a club setting by fully competent disc jockeys! Toronto's own DJ Rob Nice will appear in a featured special guest capacity, spinning a series of sweet soul selections. Meanwhile, a local disc jockey and producer named Matt Blair will serve as this event's incarnation of Babylon Telecom, providing his usual backdrop of live effects, pre-recorded material, and the heavy-handed opinions of others.
Join us at Lot 16 on Friday, 8 August 2008, and be a part of this once in a month-time event!! It's going to be a great night at a wonderful casual Queen West club, and you might even learn a thing or two!! * ]
