Mitzi's on College headed for the deadpool
Mitzi's on College will be serving its famous oatmeal buttermilk pancakes for the last time this weekend. That's right, the pancake eggy brunch deliciousness will dry up after Sunday, leaving sister restaurants Mitzi's Cafe and Mitzi's Sister to hold the comfort food reins.
Owner Lesli Gaynor told Post City Magazine that managing three separate spots just became too much, and that she has decided to focus on the two restaurants she believes to be better established.
The news of the closure is undoubtedly unfortunate for area residents who view Mitzi's as one of the best brunch spots in Toronto, though the cafe and the sister are only a (hungry, Saturday-morning-hung-over) saunter away.
