Kensington Winter Solstice

20 blazing photos of the Kensington Winter Solstice

The 25th annual Kensington Market Winter Solstice kicked off winter with a bang (or, really, a blaze) on Sunday evening. Mildish temperatures brought hundreds out to witness wild pyrotechnic displays, huge puppets and various shadow play. The parade weaved its way through the Market before settling in at Alexandra Park for the night-defying display of fire breathers and spinners. As usual, it was a feast for the senses and an excellent way to forget that the cold is upon us.
