Countdown is on to WinterCity in Toronto

Once again this year, the WinterCity Festival returns to Toronto. From January 26th to February 8th, the city is hosting outdoor festivals, concerts, and ice sculpting (if we even get any chilly temperatures) as well as a long list of indoor attractions across town, including the always scrumptious, Winterlicious.

Opening night starts off on a high note with live music by the Philosopher Kings and live high-flying cirque style theatrics from Italian theatre troup, Kitomb.

From there, the main attraction is certainly all the incredible live music lined up. Within a week we'll be treated to The Jon Levine Band, Sloan, Jill Barber, Mobile, Elliot Brood, Shaye, Oh Susanna and The New Pornographers - just to name a few.

Of course, I can't ignore Winterlicious . I'm already planning my annual feast at Fred's Not Here, but Michelle will have the full scoop on planning a successful Winterlicious trek on the blog later this morning.

In the meanwhile, head over to the WinterCity website and download some event coupons, now online. (In other words, plan early to get the best out of this year's festival.)
