Circus Books and Music relocated from Cabbagetown to its current location at Danforth and Jones in March of 2008. Owned and operated by Ron Duffy, the store stocks primarily secondhand books, CDs and vinyl. From a literary standpoint, the focus here is less on bestsellers (although one can find a few here), and more on high literary fiction both past and present.

The 1000 square foot space also offers a range of art, culinary and children's books. I was particularly impressed by the collection of Jazz on vinyl, but the musical selections are as wide-ranging as the books.

During my visit it was clear that Ron has cultivated a nice relationship with the community. Many of the people browsing stopped to say high and chat about matters musical and literary.

With its location at the top of Jones Avenue, it tends to draw customers from both the Danforth and Leslieville .
