Kyle Fleming's Oneliners
I'm lucky if I can draw a straight line with an Etch-A-Sketche; what Kyle does with one is mind blowing!

I first saw Kyle's work on MTV Canada on a recommendation from a friend, and have been dying to see his work up close ever since. Lucky for us, Kyle's doing a show at Solferino starting with a reception on Friday, and running through September.

Apparently the technique he uses creates a permanent image. I'll be sure to ask Kyle about that when I see him. I think all the pieces are for sale (don't quote me on that).

Come for the art, stay for the gelato.

Just a guess, he uses a magnetised stylus to do it.

Haha! That's John Cleese doing Monty Python's "Ministry of Silly Walks" sketch on the left.

hello all, kyle fleming here( the etch-a-sketch artist ) i would like to take this opportunity to dispell any thoughts of magnets or any other means of "cheating" to make this art. my etch-a-sketches are made the same way everyone uses the toy, by turning the dials. there is no artificial help or practices involved, i simply manipulate the two white dials with my fingers, like eveyone else. video proof of this can be found on my website, or on the youtube channel: mcetcher. thank you.
