Urban Watercolours by Herry Arifin
"TTC Delayed After The Storm" by Herry Arifin
North York expressive watercolour artist Herry Arifin hasn't been doing watercolour paintings for very long, but he most surely has a keen eye and impressive skill for it. Once seeing a few of his urban-oriented works appear in the blogTO Flickr pool, I was immediately intrigued. After taking a look at his site, I thought I'd share a few of them here.
I'm no art critic, but I do know what I find captivating. Arifin's paintings are beautiful. They capture some of the most iconic snapshots of the Toronto urban landscape, in vivid colour and at a level of abstractness that works for me.
A few more that I found particularly great after the jump...
"Everyday Is Summer In Chinatown"
"Before All The Leaves Have Gone"
"News Box Mall"
