Toronto's getting a bunch of zombie walks this year

Toronto beware, you're in for a scary October. That's because it looks like zombies will be staggering around the city throughout the entire month leading up to Halloween.

While the Toronto Zombie Walk cancelled its event last year, the organizers are encouraging members of the undead community to organize their own parades for fall 2016.

"You, yes, you are going to throw your own zombie walks...(we hope)," writes Toronto Zombie Walk on Facebook. "You don't need us to walk you anymore, but we can help!!!!! Pick a date, map out your location and name your route. Submit your walk to us and we will publish them on our website."

There's currently a submission form online and a map plotting out all of the upcoming zombie invasions. So far, you can expect to run for your life on October 29 in Brockton Village and in the St. Clair West neighbourhood. There's also a walk planned for October 30 in Kensington Market.

Last summer, after Zombie Walk Toronto announced it'd be axing its 2015 event, it hosted a funeral and wake at Trinity Bellwoods Park. But, the dead will rise again this year.
