Drake and Raptors unveil new team uniforms

Along with being a Canadian hero, Drake is also the Toronto Raptors' global ambassador. It's fitting then that the rapper helped unveil the Raptors' new uniforms at OVO Fest last night.

The uniforms come in four varieties, including an OVO-branded set in black and gold. The new logo, which debuted last December to mixed reviews, is placed prominently on the shorts, along with a small maple leaf.

The slogan "We The North," is featured at the bottom of the jerseys. The uniforms also include a new font ("We The Letters") and the players' names will be arranged in an arc rather than in a straight line.

These uniforms are part of the team's rebrand, which emphasizes the Raptors as Canada's only NBA team. The primary home jerseys, for instance, are red and white in an obvious nod to the Canadian flag. However, the black-and-gold version, which Drake rocked last night, is the highlight here as the Raptors' We The North makeover continues to unfold.
