In The Stars?

In an effort to maintain an active social life I am always looking for something other than the usual "let's meet for drinks" appeal. Tired of the same old bar chatter this girl needed more!

This is why I enthusiastically accepted when a friend of mine organized a trip up to Bathurst Bowlerama on Friday night. I was ready to dust off my suburban skillz!

Located at Bathurst & Glencarin, I opted for public transit and arrived in just 30 minutes from my starting point of Dundas/Ossington. Choosing a more expedited route on the way back, my cab ride was only $15. This city is much more accessible than we think.

But, this was no ordinary "pop and chips" bowling party. This was COSMIC bowling! Neon lights, 90's hip hop, bottled domestic beer and wilted hotdogs. Game On!

The music was most certainly the most entertaining factor of this cosmic bowling adventure, providing nostalgic memories for our late 20's group. Remember Bel Biv Devoe, Sir Mix-A-Lot and Ginuwine?

After 2 hours and several bowling alley brewdogs we paid up and headed back downtown to sit in our same old bar, but now that our universe has expanded we all had a little more to say.

TOTAL COST: $30
