Cinderella Jetsgo

Looks like the party ended for Jetsgo last night at midnight, after the employees were informed that the company has gone belly-up! This left eager March-break vacationers totally stranded, without as much as a Jetsgo badge to stomp on! Apparently the employees were informed at the same time as the passengers that the company was over... this corporate cowardice BAFFLES me!

This is a multifaceted blow. Firstly, if you booked your flight online- good luck getting your money back.

Secondly, next week is MARCH BREAK... today is one of the busiest days to fly out of the year... especially on a discounted charter flight?! That is a cold fish.

Thirdly, what if you are in Cancun right now, with a Jetsgo ticket innocently sitting on top of your passport... since that ticket is now as useless, you are left to book and pay for another airline.

And my final point is; imagine being an employee? Just finding out that you are completely jobless all of a sudden? I guess this happens from time to time with layoffs, but somehow this Jetsgo fiasco has really separated the common man and the CEO in a big way... give your employees a heads-up at LEAST for pete's sakes!

You can read more here. Oh, and it looks like Jetsgo has pulled their website www.jetsgo.net , as it appears lost in cyberspace. Is it just me, or is anyone else shocked at the way this was handled?
