WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 21 / STEPHEN MALKMUS / THE PHOENIX / 410 SHERBOURNE / $29.38 / 19+
Indie rock icon Stephen Malkmus, the frontman of 90s staples Pavement, brings his band The Jicks to the Phoenix Concert Theatre. The band is fresh off the release of their fifth record, Mirror Traffic, which was produced by Beck. Holy Sons, Emil Amos's one-man solo group, will open.

Hard at work on their follow-up to 2009's critically acclaimed Post-Nothing, Vancoucer rock duo Japandroids are embarking on a tour across the continent to play songs both old and new. Known for their fantastic stage presence, the band, made up of Brian King and David Prowse, will rock Sneaky Dee's with support from Bass Drum of Death.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 23 / MARNIE STERN / WRONGBAR / 1279 QUEEN W / $14 / 19+

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 24 / KID SISTER / WRONGBAR / 1279 QUEEN W / $15 / 19+
Chicago-based rapper Melisa Young, aka Kid Sister, leapt to prominence in 2007 with the release of her single "Pro Nails" featuring Kanye West. Her tracks range from club anthems to raw, conscious hip-hop. She is currently recording the follow-up to her 2009 debut album Ultraviolet.
