Radius and Helena Prove Massey Hall Ain't Just for Gordon Lightfoot Anymore

If you're looking for an earful of music tonight, mixed with a dash of atmosphere at an unusual venue, swing on over to the highly anticipated CD release party for Toronto 'vintage sci-fi indie rock band' and overly-enthusiastic Battlestar Galactica fans, Radius and Helena.

The album in question is their first full length CD release and this whole shebang will be going down in the swanky Centuries Lounge which can be found in the basement of The Old Lady of Shuter Street herself, Massey Hall!

But before you go any further, you may want to catch up on our story thus far...

The aforementioned album being released tonight, Precious Metals, has been two years in the making, as Radius and Helena have performed laps around Toronto at local music nights such as Wavelength, No Shame and Pitter Patter Nights as well as festivals such as NXNE and Canadian Music Week (thrice!) They've even had a spot on 102.1 The Edge's NuMusic Nite with Dave Bookman.

To make things even sweeter, the band isn't playing alone as the line up also includes friends such as metal-medley-ers Discordant Euphony, indie-rap artist Wordburglar and epic-'noisemakers' Uncut. The set times are 9pm, 9:45pm and 10:30pm respectively, with Radius and Helena beginning their set at 11:15pm.

Doors open at 8pm at Massey Hall, tickets can still be bought in advance for $12 at Rotate This and Soundscapes or purchased for $15 at the door.
