Contest: Win a Shad Prize Pack

Hailing from London, Ontario, Shad has surely made his mark in the Canadian Hip Hop scene, and in a relatively short time, too. Nominated for a Juno, short-listed for the 2008 Polaris prize, and nailing an awesome performance at this year's Virgin Festival are amongst just a few of his recent accomplishments.

And to that nearly half a million views of his hilarious video for The Old Prince Still Lives at Home (below), which takes a long jab at the opening sequence of the old sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

On Wednesday night, Shad will be performing at the Mod Club, along with infectious pop quartet Hey Ocean, and blogTO has a couple of killer prize packs for two lucky readers.

CONTEST ENTRY:
Unlike most of our afternoon contests, this time we're going to give the early birds the worms. To win, all you have to do is post a comment below at or after 9am blogTO time on Tuesday September 16th, 2008 with the answer to the following question: When asked (at Vfest by blogTO's Corina) to name a song that resonated with him that he might like to remix or use, what was his surprising answer?

The first two people to meet the above criteria win:
- a copy of Shad's CD "The Old Prince"
- a snazzy Shad t-shirt
- a pair of tickets to the show on September 17th
