In-D-Exposure: 3rd Edition - Rockin' To Rome

Ever find yourself trying to decide between a few different club shows, all happening on the same night, and in 3 venues which are all as far apart from each other as possible? I know I have, especially in the fall, when the city is inundated with some great bands hitting the bar & club scene. At the upcoming Rockin' To Rome show at Club 279 on November 25th, you can catch 5 of the best alt rock bands in Southern Ontario in one place, at one time, without worrying about cab fares and wishing you had one of those Time Turners like Hermione Granger. And you'll be supporting a great cause!

Rockin' To Rome is a fundraiser for the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA), and what better time for it than during November, a.k.a. Diabetes Awareness Month? The extremely talented lineup includes Shauna Major, Anti-Hero, Tenth Planet, Ripped and Crash Kelly. The MC for the evening is improv actor Eileen Sammut. Tickets are $10 at the door, with all money going to Team Diabetes for the CDA.

Team Diabetes is the main fundraising activity for the CDA, which raises funds, and promotes healthy eating and an active lifestyle as a way to prevent Type 2 diabetes. As someone who has many family members and friends with Diabetes, I joined Team Diabetes to help make a difference by raising funds and awareness. This show is just the start of what is going to be a five month long campaign.

So you can support two very worthy causes in one night - The Canadian Diabetes Association, and Canadian Independent Music!

Doors open at 9, and the show gets under way after 9:30. This is a 19+ show.

Club 279 is at 279 Yonge Street, above the Hard Rock Cafe at Yonge & Dundas Square.
