Every Shoe Lover Should Know...

If you're like me (a closet shoe-oholic) then I'm sure you'll appreciate this tidbit. Located on the west side of Yonge Street, just two blocks south of Bloor is one of Toronto's hidden gems. LBSH Shoe World (657 Yonge St.) is as close as you can get to shopping in Hong Kong. I first discovered this store on a romp around Toronto two years ago. Having just come back from living in Asia, I was desperately craving fun foot ware at affordable prices. Needless to say I breathed a sigh of relief when I discovered this store.

Although it does have a small section of men's shoes, LBSH primarily caters to women. Over the years I have accumulated more shoes and bags from this store than I care to admit to. The prices are unbeatable (ranging from $20 to $50) with frequent 50% off and buy-one-get-one-half-off promotions. One can easily replenish an entire shoe collection without breaking the bank. I stopped in there today to take a quick gander of the new inventory (which arrives every few weeks) and saw a huge selection taking up the entire back wall of shoes under $10.

But wait...there is a catch. Since the shoes come from Asia (primarily China) the largest size for women that they carry is size 8. Apologies to all those women out there with larger feet, however, don't fret as there are ample accessories for you to splurge on. As for the quality? I can personally vouch that I have never had any problems with any of my purchases...and believe me when I say I've done ample market-research. So there you have it, a little shopping gift from me to you. Run don't walk if you're in the mood for new shoes. Store hours are 10am - 9pm (Mon - Sat) and 11am - 7pm (Sun). Enjoy!
