Shisha cup Toronto

Now you can smoke shisha in a cup in Toronto

Smoking hookah might be officially banned in Toronto, but that hasn't stopped one entrepreneur from finding a way to still satisfy cravings for thick, fruity smoke.

ShishaCup recently opened inside the 888 Craft Market at Yonge and Gould and is serving up single-use cups that burn shisha over briquettes inside an orange peel - it's all balanced inside a plastic cup. The smoke collects in the cup and then is inhaled through a straw.

Like with old school hookah bars, there's an array of flavours on offer as well as snacks like lamb kebab tacos. Unlike the traditional set-ups, there's no seating and the contraptions are entirely portable and intended to be enjoyed to-go: a work-around to the indoor smoking ban that came into effect on April 1.

Shisha in a cup sells for $8 and includes two briquettes, which should keep you puffing for over an hour.
