Justin Trudeau to make rare visit to Toronto City Hall

At around lunchtime tomorrow, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will make his first official visit to Toronto City Hall.

Mayor John Tory will welcome Trudeau to city hall with a planned photo-op in Nathan Phillips Square on the south side of the skating rink - yes, as the Toronto Star notes, the Toronto sign should be in the background.

The two leaders will meet for 45 minutes and they'll be available to the media afterwards.

It's unclear what they'll be speaking about, but as the Star reports, Trudeau previously said he'd fund nearly one third of Tory's $8 billion SmartTrack plan.

As Tory writes on Twitter, a sitting Prime Minister hasn't visited Toronto City Hall since before amalgamation in 1998.
