Toronto Sign turns red for Remembrance Day

Here's another reason to love the Toronto Sign. Earlier today, the letters of the much Instagrammed sign at Nathan Phillips Square all turned red to mark Remembrance Day which is November 11.

It's a thoughtful tribute to our war heroes and fallen soldiers and will be in view of those who gather at Old City Hall directly across the street for ceremonies on Wednesday morning.

Some might remember it's not the first time the sign has veered from its usual multi-coloured format. Earlier this fall the letters turned blue to mark the Blue Jays fever which was sweeping the city.

The sign will return to its usual look after Remembrance Day.
