Ripley's Aquarium Toronto

25 photos of the new Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto

Ripley's Aquarium finally opened to the public today in Toronto (at 288 Bremner Blvd next to the CN Tower), as a slew of curious visitors and media types stormed the underwater palace to get a first look at the giant structure, which houses almost six million litres of water and a reported 15,000 different types of sea creatures, the highlight of which for most is surely the various shark species patrolling the deep waters. While there are no Great Whites, it doesn't matter much as they swim above you in the underwater tunnel or observation rooms. On first look, the operation really is quite impressive — now cue the mad scramble for tickets.
