Night of Dread Toronto 2012

Photos of the 2012 Night of Dread in Toronto

For a while yesterday it looked like the rain was going to shut down Clay & Paper Theatre's 13th annual Night of Dread celebration, but by late afternoon word went out that the parade would be delayed but thankfully not abandoned.

As the rain took a temporary pause, a mixed bag of musicians, spooks, monsters, ghosts, fears, and the signature "Big Dreads" moved out of Dufferin Grove Park onto the streets for the annual symbolic banishment of our darkest nightmares. With lots of noise, fire, laughter, and, of course, giant puppets the spectacle was as cathartic as intended.

Here are some images from the festivities.
