Photos of the 2012 Toronto Pride Parade don't quite express just how hot it was out there yesterday, but despite the scorching temperatures, Toronto police estimated that over a million people lined the route for the 32nd year of the event. With costumes and water soakers out in full force, it was a wet and colourful a parade as there's ever been. As was expected, Rob Ford was a no-show, but that did nothing to dampen the spirits of those who did make it out to celebrate.

Among the noteworthy faces we spotted were Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke and Olivia Chow, but perhaps the best site were the many Catholic high school students bearing signs that proudly touted the gay-straight alliances to which they belong.
