What's happening in the GTA (and sometimes beyond):

Blackout! Those living east of Spadina or north of St. Clair might have slept well last night, but for 100,000 other Toronto residents it's been nothing but dark and cold since 10pm last night due to a flooded Toronto Hydro substation at 1045 Dufferin St.

Time to sign up for those TTC e-mail alerts. The latest: Shuttle buses are now running between Keele and Bathurst stations. All subway stations between Keele and Bathurst remain closed.

Darkness will descend on David Mirvish Books at the end of February as the Post reports it's Deadpool time for one of Toronto's finest independent bookstores.

The Scrolling Eye has a report from OCAD's Strategic Innovation Lab where two Obama campaign workers spoke about the campaign's design and social media strategy on Tuesday night.

The Ontario Government is finally starting to pay attention to electric cars. But they need until May to polish off a report looking at the situation. Meanwhile, they still haven't approved the Zenn.

And finally, Leafs win! And the Argos get a new head coach.
