Name: Jamie

Age: 28.8

What neighbourhood are you from? Parkdale/Roncey

What do you 'do'? Co-Honcho at GelaSkins Inc... proud makers of artist-designed removable iPod & Laptop skins.

How long have you been in Toronto? 3 years

What's your story?

I'm a closet geek. I went to Queen's for Engineering and Western for Medical Biophysics. I like the intersection of Art & Technology and I couldn't be happier about where things are at with GelaSkins.

Favorite thing(s) about Toronto:

When I first moved here, I wondered if I'd lose that sense of connectedness that I had growing up in Kingston. As I got to know the city, I realized that Toronto is really just a bunch of small towns all mashed together.

Least favorite thing(s) about Toronto:

Trying to leave it... I know it's lame to whine about traffic, but it really gets to me!

You have 24 hours to spend with someone who's never been to Toronto before - what do you do?

I would start in High Park... one of the biggest misconceptions about Toronto is that it's just skyscrapers. There are so many great parks here! We'd walk along Queen street and stop for lunch somewhere along the way and then keep going. After that, I'd take them for an evening drive along Rosedale Valley rd, lower DVP, and the Gardiner... the city looks so great at that time of day. Then, grab some shwarmas at Ali Baba's and head off to the Drake or the Dakota Tavern.

One thing that your friends/family don't know about you:

I love Vegas.
