TTC Announces Metropass Refund Policy
The TTC announced their refund policy today for holders of an April Metropass. The policy, needed after the weekend's impromptu strike, calls for refunds to be issued starting May 5th. Those who have a regular April Adult Metropass will receive $7.50. For other types, check the refund amounts here.
At $7.50, the TTC is refunding the cash equivalent of about three rides. This may seem like a fair amount as it's roughly equivalent to the expected use on a typical half weekend. But, for the legions who were stranded at the wee hours of Saturday morning I suspect this won't come close to covering what they had to pony up for the emergency cab fare.
