Laundry Thief: a Civilian Investigation

Someone, somewhere in Toronto, recently lost their shirt (and pants, and underwear, and socks).

What do you do when someone swipes your clothes from a public laundry facility? It appears that one victim of freshly-cleaned-clothing-theft got a hold of security footage, printed off a screencap of the alleged suspect, and posted it on hydro poles in the neighbourhood. And the victim demands in a serious tone that the thief must return the stolen goods within 48h before the police get involved.

blogTO reader Eyeline-Imagery spotted this poster outside St. Clair East Subway Station, snapped a photo, and added it to the blogTO Flickr Pool. Thanks!

While there's no way we can confirm or dismiss that the person depicted is a laundry thief, we can say that if this does lead to the arrest and prosecution of the guilty party, or return of their fluffy clean clothes, then kudos for the effort.

Check out the full-sized image of the full poster, with legible text.

Could it be Mike Myers' sister!? ;)
