Scarborough IT Couple Gus and Gloria Give Birth

Whoever said the big city was a cold and unfeeling place, has clearly never spent a spring in Toronto. We squeeze onto patios with strangers, go nude beaching on the Islands and bond over goslings born in Scarborough parking lots... it's true.

Over at Warden & Eglinton today, Gus and Gloria are growing quite famous. These two Canadian Geese have garnered a LOT of attention from locals, as they've settled in the middle of a parking lot to live, nest and start a family. Since their appearance, they've even unknowingly starred in their own Facebook fan group.

Today, their 5 goslings were born and it's the biggest news in the community. Here in my west end studio, it's all over my news feeds. Funny creatures we are. I'm willing to bet that when they get up and move along soon, someone will propose that a Gus and Gloria statue go up in that lot... maybe even a commemorative coin?
