NYPD, Bathed in Bay Street Steam

While the city of Toronto founded the first official police department in a North American city, New Yorkers were the ones who glamourized the line of work.

Over 150 years later, it seems the NYPD is the subject of at least one TV drama or feature film a year. Still, as unattended cruisers with open windows would demonstrate, it's safer and more practical to 'shoot' the footage on the good ol' streets of Toronto.
