Taste of the Danforth...Opa!

Moussaka mamas, dolmade devotees and fricasse fiends unite! This weekend sees the 13th annual Taste of the Danforth festival descending upon our fair city. a celebration of Hellenic food, music and culture.

Over a million people are expected this year for their fill of all the -iaros, -alias, -iganis, -keftedes, -lemonos they can get their hands on - delicious Greek goodness with impossibly tongue-twisting (but belly satisfying!) names. The best thing to do may be to TTC it - take the Bloor line to any of the following stops: Broadview, Chester, Pape or Donlands - as streets will be closed and parking will be a nightmare. There's not much info on their website - though what they lack in actual relevant information, they make up with a lot of shameles corporate sponsor ass-kissing - so best thing to do would be to head down and check it out yourself.

Let your inner loukoumades lover loose.
